Saving more by spending wisely

pizzaEveryone wants to save money, but saving money does not necessarily mean buying things at the lowest possible price. It is often more effective to spend a little more on quality items which will last a long time. One has to know when it is worth it to spend a little more.

Readers give several examples where spending a little more on items led to long term value. Examples include several items of clothing which last for a decade or more, cookware, and even “fun” items like a kayak.

One area I don’t skimp on is food. You may save by buying cheap processed rubbish, but in the long term it’s not good.
